South to Bird Point

We decided to take advantage of the sunshine after work on Wednesday and go for a drive south. The first stop was at Potter Marsh for some camera lessons ( we got a Nikon D5000) but this first picture was taken at McHugh Creek. We picked the best time to head out- with all the other after work traffic!!! Oh well lots of pulling over and snapping pictures is the plan so lets show the view directly behind the platform. Lots of yellows with some rusty colors this year. and this is the view looking the other way- across the road and down the Arm.
Drove down to Bird Point- never stopped there before and both of us are impressed with the whole area. It will be added as our newest "pit stop".
This gentleman (Ken) was all set up for viewing black bear and the mountain goats. He is there often just waiting to share his hobby with everyone that stops by. We visited for a while and I saw the bear eating on berries and 16 mountain goats soaking up the sunshine and grazing way up high---although they looked much closer through his set up! He was so interesting to listen to and I loved seeing the goats! John is already surfing for scopes....he's dreaming also!
Decided we better have dinner out---where else would we go? Somethings never change!!!!
see the price of gas? It is $3.28 now. Had a fun evening and now we have 150 pictures to sort and save/delete......
