Getting closer to home. The sun was glowing on the water.
It is rather deceiving because this is COLD COLD COLD water.
Notice the yellow leaves are starting to show up. Coming into the final runway strip.
Fall colors again, rusty reds and still some green. 
Good flights- on time- and John was waiting for me at the curb! 
The Julia Davis Park has the prettiest entrance- rose garden with water fountains. This was Di's favorite color and I love the way it photographed.

Oh, the best sweet potato french fries were our snack for the day. Very yummy! Lost the picture but believe me they were worth photographing and eating. Plus it fills the "orange" category for the photography contest I am doing with another girlfriend...so will post it eventually.
We had a great time wandering around and browsing amongst the vendors. Lots of jewelry and pottery and the usual crafts to look at- hot sunshine and some shady retreats- loud music and any kind of food you'd want- so we couldn't of had a better day for Art In The Park Boise Style.
Stopped for lunch in Brigham City. What a treat. The most delicious "home cooked" meal. I had roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy and corn on cob. The homemade rolls with raspberry butter could not of been better. We shared a piece of Fresh Peach Pie....YUMMY!

Thanks to Di and Dave for the use of their car. We put lots of miles on her and had some good times the past few days. Arrived "home" safe and tired! Unbelievable but Pat outshopped us! 
First stop of the day was here. I really wish they would open one up in Anchorage but I wonder if the thrill of going to IKEA would be different... Actually, if they would just ship to my house I could be happy! Really hard to buy "carry-on" sizes but I managed a few things.
Bringing a catalog home with me. Sometimes ya just have to sacrifice.... 
This mural on the antique store was worth a laugh and a picture. We stopped before driving in the store!!!! We saw several pieces of glassware and linens but I was the only one to buy anything and that was a little mailbox with a scale...different than I've seen before.
The traffic is unbelievably busy. We can hear trucks and cars zooming by on the interstate from our hotel room all night long. This section was at a stand still just because of some construction. We used the exit to find some more stores until the traffic was thinned out.
Beautiful mountain ranges surround the city-a little bit different from the Alaskan Range.
Dinner at an Italian Restaurant with Pat's Brother and Sister-in-law. It was nice to see Greg and Lisa again. We're back in the room before dark, packing up and ready to head back to Boise in the morning. It has been a great girls get-away!
We rode a tram up for some awesome views.
I'd be able to "vacation" here or come back for the Sundance Film Festival....
Stopped at another Farmers Market, I love doing that. The Strawberries taste just like they are suppose to! We'll have peaches for snack tomorrow.
Had to call John to help me upload/download pictures from camera to computer AGAIN. I have over 200 pictures already...so more blogs and scrapbook layouts to come.

Isn't this an unusual "pumpkin?" for sale but I really don't think she would of sold it. Great conversation piece on her table of honey bottles and cukes.
Of course I love the flowers and gourds. Yellow isn't my favorite color but these flowers are sure pretty.
Kids were playing in the water fountain at the center of the market. They were laughing and having a great time.
Had lunch on the sidewalk at a Greek restaurant-gyros- and then back to Diana's for hammock time and magazine browsing while Pat babysat her granddaughter. Another busy and wonderful weekend in progress.
