My Layout Of The Week

I entered the ACBailey weekly challenge and won!!! The team posted 4 things needed on the layout-3 pictures, 3 background papers, at least one star and handwritten journaling and this one came together after an evening of scrapbooking at Michelle's. Dalon and Michelle posted great layouts also. Hopefully we can continue doing the challenges each week.

Natalie ask for some Pictures

Blurry but wanted to show how much fog we have all today/tonight...temperature is at 23 degrees tonight at 6pm I believe this is the first set of dished Mom and Dad had. This is only piece I have- so you could look for the sugar bowl.
This is the set of dishes I got from Uncle Kenny/Grandma's? They are quite a few plates and bowls but no "accessory pieces"

And this is the amber glass I started collecting. Ebay was my main sorce and I haven't done that in a year. It is the King Thumb pattern.
And this is the Memory Lane Plates- Royal China Ironstone Sebring Ohio 1965 on the back
Shoot I backspaced to far and deleted the picture. Sorry. I will add it another time- need to start dinner before John leaves to the snowmachine meeting tonight.

Mountains....

I stood in the Kohl's/Target/Lowe's Parking lot and could not believe how great the mountains-were so snapped a few pictures...looking toward the water plant on the left to the curve on Tudor Road. Pretty much the length of Muldoon Road. This shopping plaza is across the street from Bartlett High School. That whole section is cleared out and lots of construction going on. There is a gate to Elmendorf right past the plaza second entrance---think it is across the street from the old hospital -when John was in Army- years ago!

Downtown Anchorage Views

I took pictures from both sides of the JC Penney's parking garage on Monday....next time I go down there Diana and hopefully Donna will be with me..............yeah some good ole ramming coming up!!!!!

Pink Sky At Night

Shoppers Delight....hope that means we have good weather this week. I plan to do my Christmas shopping so dry roads and clean sidewalks would be a good thing! The three pictures are from today- first one off the front porch and the second and third ones from back porch. It was very pink for half hour around 3:30 and then darkness came quickly, by 5 it is black dark.

Belated Birthday Parties

Last night was another birthday party for the Ladies of the Backyard Bunch. Teresa, Krystal and myself were the "birthday girls" this time. We had a blast (as usual) at Gene and Vicki's house. She made the most delicious carrot quiche and everyone brought a dish to pass that complimented the quiche. Fresh veggies and dill dip, pumpkin dip with apple and pear slices, hot artichoke dip .....dip dip dip...delicious dips. We had several bottles of wine and drank it all- then had hot cider and rum with the cream cheese frosting on a spice birthday cake. TUMS anyone?

I told John I'd be home at 9 and it was after 10pm on a work night even when I came in...we never do that! But it was all the talking, laughing and catching up...we did manage to plan the next birthday party and talked about doing a New Years Eve Progressive Dinner & Wii party- that should be a good time!

I took my camera and this is the first and last picture I took! Layed the camera on the counter and never picked it up...we usually get a group picture but not this time! Remember my 50th birthday party was at their house....can you believe that was 5 years ago? Time for Nat and Val to "SURPRISE"me again?Have a busy weekend- the work weekend in Juneau was cancelled -now I feel that if I am home-I should get something accomplished...so Krystal and I will go to Ozarks first thing tomorrow morning and try to spend our gift certificates!!!!!!!
Plan to blog weekly but life is rather boring these days! I'm still taking pictures for the 365 project but not really blog material...
Hope You Have A Good Weekend-
Love, Debbie
